BD-4LSA

BedeCorp of Medina, Ohio and Seman Peru of Lima, Peru are finalizing a manufacturing license agreement. The prototype aircraft is now under construction and certification process has also started. Target price is $89,000.00. Assembly will be in Lima, Peru with the engine and the avionics final assembly in Florida.

We are planning on using the new 0-233 Lycoming Engine, Matco wheels and brakes, S-Ply type landing gear struts, our new all metal 29.5 foot wing and glass cockpit. Along with our bonded vertical and horizontal tail assembly.

The BD-4LSA will have folding wings for easy storage. Production is tentatively slated for the third quarter of 2009 with 200 units per year. The prototype will be introduced at Sun-In-Fun 2009 Show. Orders will be accepted November 15, 2008. A $5,000.00 deposit will be required with each order. The deposit will be held in an escrow account.

UPDATE: 1/29/2010

With the current uncertainties with the economy and limited financing options available to customers it was my decision in September of 2009 to put a hold on the BD-4LSA program. Actually we were lucky we had not got to the point of ramping up the assembly facility. Just ask any of the LSA manufactures how the last year has been for them and you will understand my decision. We need to produce a minimum of 30 aircraft per year to make it feasible and cost effective. Yes, there will be an E-LSA available. Our plans are still to work with our partner Seman Peru on this project. If you have any further questions regarding the BD-4LSA program please feel free to email us.
